Today we still help solve problems for people who may be experiencing trouble with neighbours or for those who simply want a reliable product that allows their cats to have access to the back garden while keeping them safe.

Our manufacturing takes place in the Stawell factory, from where do-it-yourself kits are mail ordered all over Australia. Catnip also trains and maintains a growing network of agents and installers who provide potential customers with design help and quotes, as well as a skilled installation service should customers not want to undertake this themselves. So from humble beginnings in 1993 Catnip is now mail ordering Australia wide and still growing today. With the endorsement of the RSPCA and working Cat Parks in a number of RSPCA shelters, people can go along and see the parks in use. Catnip holds the patents in Australia, USA, Canada and the UK, so potential to export is now becoming a reality.

Catnip are the original makers of modular cat enclosures and are the only cat enclosure company that are given the privilege of genuine RSPCA endorsement, although other companies do try to claim this privilege. Catnip has stood the test of time having been a family owned Australian business for 15 years using our own designs and products. We have seen many people come and go, in fact we have trained many of them. We are aware that several of these people have tried to directly copy our product.
